New to blogging

Well I've finally grabbed the blog by the bootstraps. I've avoided getting a blog site all along due to all the other websites I build and keep updated for others but the time has come ... so here I am!

So I guess I will start by introducing myself ... :-)

Hi, I'm Mary. I am a dog lover, some would say obsessed but I think they're just jealous of all the love I have in my life. I currently have two human companions in life, one of my sons and my sister. It makes for good company and help with life's little duties.

Canine wise ... I have Whippets and Chinese Cresteds that share my life, home and own my heart. I'm proud to have bred show champions, performance titled and also several therapy and service dogs as well as some terrific companions that grace some of the most wonderful people's lives I consider myself blessed to know.

Funny how 16 years ago I simply wanted a sweet pet to enrich my family's lives ... he did too! Gabe was our first Whippet. He raced, coursed, showed (in Jrs) and gave us so much love. He taught us priceless lessons too, of course. A mere nine months later I added his sister to our home; my first show dog! Tara also was a phenomenal teacher of so many lessons. I count myself so very lucky to have had these two in my life and the lives of both my sons.

Well ... I think I'll stop here as I have so much to do before a friend arrives from Washington (state) tomorrow and time is tick tick ticking away!
